What this site is not
Training Puppies is not a training school, a behavior clinic or a veterinary practice. We don’t offer classes, consultations, appointments or products, and we don’t sell anything.
How the guides are made
The guides are written by the Training Puppies editorial team from published guidance by reference organizations, such as veterinary colleges, veterinary and behavior associations, animal-welfare charities and kennel clubs. A claim about health, safety or behavior goes into a guide only when at least two of these organizations support it, or when the sentence names the single organization it comes from. Every guide lists its sources at the end, with the date we checked them.
The guides are not reviewed by a veterinarian or a certified trainer. If that ever changes, the guide will say so and name the reviewer. Read the editorial policy for the full process.
Scope. These guides focus on puppy training and behavior management. They are not a substitute for veterinary care.
