Educational information only
Training Puppies provides general information about puppy training and behavior for educational purposes. It is not veterinary advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a veterinarian or a qualified behavior professional who knows your puppy.
When to get help
If your puppy is unwell or injured, stops eating, or shows sudden fear, aggression or a change in behavior, contact your veterinarian. Your veterinarian may refer you to a veterinary behaviorist or a qualified trainer.
Every puppy is different
Puppies differ in age, breed, health and history. A method that suits one puppy may not suit another. Use the guides as a starting point and adjust with professional advice where needed.
Accuracy
We follow our editorial policy and cite the sources behind each guide, but we can’t guarantee that every page is complete or current. Guidance from reference organizations changes over time.
Links to other websites
Guides link to the organizations whose guidance they cite. We don’t control those websites and aren’t responsible for their content. Training Puppies does not use affiliate links and is not paid for any link.
